Course Fees

Learners can book their place on the course by paying an applicable non refundable and non transferable deposit by credit or debit card online. You may also choose to do a bank transfer. Cheques are not accepted.

Full fees are payable on enrollment, either by one single payment, or by a booking fee and instalments agreed. The instalment plan is a concession help students with their payments and, the balance of the outstanding Course fees is payable even if the student should fail to complete the Course through non-attendance. Any students who fail to keep to the instalment plan as agreed may incur further charges. When a student’s place on the Course is confirmed the booking fee is non-refundable. Fees are refundable only if courses are full or in the unlike event of the course being cancelled. We reserve the right: 1. To refuse and application without reason, in which case all fees paid will be refunded 2. To remove from the Course any student deemed disruptive to the class, in which case no fees will be refunded.

Cancellation:

If cancelled by you:

Cancelation will only be accepted if made in writing and received 4 weeks before the start of the course:

All deposit’s are Non-refundable and non transferable.

All courses cancelled within 4 weeks of start date: 100% of the fee applies (no refund will be given).

Course date change a £50 admin fee applies if applied 4 weeks before the start of the course date.

No date change will be accommodated 4 weeks before course start date.

Cancellation of the course (by us)

If we reschedule because of the above, we will move you to the next available course date. If you cannot attend this date, we will refund your fee if this has been paid.

In the unlikely event your course is cancelled last minute by the tutor due to unforeseen circumstances you will be offered alternative dates or venue. If you cannot attend this date your tutor or training school will refund the course fee if this has been paid.

Course Changes:

Affable Therapy reserves the right to improve / modify the specification of the course, its contents and / or venue for the benefits of its learners / applicants without notice. Any changes will be communicated to you by your course tutor.

Warranty and Liability:

It is your responsibility to verify that the courses you apply for are suitable for your requirements and that you have the necessary level of competence and prerequisite qualifications where necessary to achieve course objectives.

It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company that you can get insurance cover after passing the course. Please check with your insurance company before booking. If you do not have insurance, we will provide details in your manual of insurer’s who will cover you.

Affable Therapy liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claims for damages, with the agregate liability not exceeded the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen. We will not be liable for any indirect loss (including expenses incurred with joining that course or any anticipated profit), regardless of how that loss arose, even if such a potential loss has been advised.
We reserve the right to ask a learner to leave the course (without recompense) if a learner’s behavior is deemed not conducive to a team environment.

Learners are responsible for keeping their contact details up to date and correct as all course material, certificates and other communications between Affable Therapy and learners will be forwarded to the current details on our records.

Medical Conditions:

You need to be in good health and ready to study on your training day.

Please inform you tutor if you have any medical conditions – before the course training day.

Do not drink alcohol 48 hours before the course as you will be dehydrated.

Certificates:

Certificates are only given once students have demonstrated that they have absorbed the information presented during the day and after applying a satisfactory treatment observed by the tutor. Some courses have a multiple choice assessment exam at the end of the course. 70% pass mark is required in this examination and ‘pass’ in the practical assessment to obtain the certificate. Check with your tutor if you have any queries regarding assessment.

If the course tutor feels that you would benefit from further training, your certification will be held back and you will offered the opportunity to attend the next available course, which you will be required to pay again.

For externally assessed courses, please see the examination criteria on the course page or speak to your tutor directly.

In case of loss of certificate, appropriate fees of the awarding body will apply in order for us to get you a new certificate.

Punctuality:

We suggest that you arrive at the course venue 15mins before the course is due to start. If you are getting late, please contact your tutor to inform. If you are more than 45mins late you may not be allowed to join the class as the course may have already started and it is not fair on other learners. Please check for transport connections before you start the journey. Especially for weekend courses when services may be limited.

Professionalism and Behavior:

You will be required to work with other learners. Please ensure professional behaviour and respect towards tutor and fellow learners.

Please wear black loose clothing or uniform.

Tie loose hair back, no jewellery (except wedding bands) and wear close comfortable shoes.

The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in all courses delivered by Affable Therapy remain the sole and exclusive property of Affable Therapy. By enrolling onto the course, you undertake that you will not copy or permit the copying of course material or reproduce or redistribute or sell or hire our training material to any third parties. You also undertake that you will not use this material to run your own courses.
