Waxing, Manicure, Pedicure, Make Up, Facial or eye treatments

You can now advance that to work towards attaining a level 2 in that subject

This has to be done within six months of doing the one day course

Exam fee of one module with VTCT is 96 to be paid at the time of exam.

Course handbook and vtct book for that module is included.

You will need to bring your model(s), kits consumables etc and be in beauty professional uniform on the day of exam.

You may choose to buy textbook for Level 2 Beauty for self study and future reference.

One day exam of doing 3 practicals and 2 theory multiple choice papers.

Level 3 Beauty Therapy

This a comprehensive qualification that provides all the skills necessary for you to work as a senior therapist in a beauty salon or spa or run your own business.

Level 3 Units of

• Anatomy and Physiology
• Body Massage
• Facial electricals
• Body Electricals
• Intimate waxing
• Semi permanent eyelash extension

Access to a computer and internet and a good command of English is essential for you to do this course.

The Assessments for the Beauty Therapy Level 2 and 3 will consist of:

• Range of practical and theory exams plus portfolio

• Level 4 Spa and Salon ManagementLevel 4 Laser Hair Removal

You will complete the Beauty Therapy Level 2 practical training with us. The first 5 contact days are mandatory to attend. In these days you will learn the theory and practical of the key modules :

• Waxing
• Facial treatments
• Manicure and Pedicure
• Make Up
• Lash Tint and brow treatments

While you are on the course each week students are required to do the homework set by the tutor. Basically learners are required to spend the rest of the week revising the theory and practical learnt the previous week.

During this time learners will have full access to our online learning portal, course book and tutor handouts for revision.

After the first five contact days, learners can continue to come in on the appointed day for supervised tutor practice and start doing their practical assessments. Please note that learners need to being in their kit, consumables, towels, and models to practice. Learners can do practice on each other too.

Learners’ enrollments are valid for one year from the date they enroll. These can be extend at a nominal cost if needed. Normally minimum duration to finish the course work for an average student is 12 weeks.

The course is accredited with Vocational and Charitable Trust (VTCT) and is mapped on the national qualification framework.

Provide facial skin care treatment:

• Two external exam

Enhance the appearance of eyebrow and eyelashes:

• One external exam
• Three observations and written assignments

Carry out waxing services:

• Two external exams

Four observations and written assignments

Provide manicure service:

• Two external exams
• Three observations and written assignments

Provide pedicure services:

• Two external exams
• Three observations and written assignments

Optional course units are:

Provide make-up services:

• Two external exams
• Observations and written assignments

Fulfill salon reception duties:

• No external exam, observation and written assignments

This is an approved qualification for working as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in a salon. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training.

This qualification provides progression opportunities to the following VTCT qualifications:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General (QCF)
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage (QCF)
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Make-up (QCF)

Progression opportunities also exist in the form of specialist VTCT vocationally related qualifications at Levels 2 and 3.

The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General (QCF) is a job ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards (NOS). The course is delivered with a combination of online learning and classroom study.

Learners have one year from the date of enrolment to finish the qualification. We recommend that they start booking their theory and practical assessments as soon as they are ready. Their will be ongoing assessments and it is hoped that within a year the learners will finish both theory and practical pertaining to the course.

Learners will do the theory this course in their own time at home with the use of the study books given and online learning resources. They will come to lessons two Sundays a month starting September. They will also have tutor access to help them with their home studies. This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced beauty therapist. Throughout this qualification you will monitor procedures to safely control work operations, contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities, provide body and facial electrical treatments, provide body massage and electrical epilation treatments. You will be assessed on your occupational competence.

At Affable Therapy Training, we understand the need to conduct classes in small groups. We also understand that learners learn differently therefore course material is delivered in various ways, e.g. PowerPoint – presentation, group work, detailed course manual with diagrams, other activities to keep learners engaged throughout the day. Our teachers are qualified and have years of experience in their chosen field. They bring their knowledge and passion to the class to inspire and encourage the learners. Lessons are carefully planned around learner needs making our courses very effective.

Learners also need to have access to computer and internet and to devote 10hrs per week towards their studies including theory and practice while on the course.

This is an approved qualification for working as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in massage. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training. This qualification provides progression opportunities to the following qualifications:

• Level 4 Spa and Salon Management ITEC

Online learning and online exam

There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that learners must have prior to undertaking this qualification.
This is a mandatory qualification for all student sitting beauty qualifications.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners to progress to further qualifications within their chosen discipline with an understanding of the role of infection prevention in relation to COVID-19. It also provides learners with personal growth and engagement, as the infection prevention techniques covered, such as hand hygiene, are applicable to everyday life
